Today was strange.

I hung out with a bunch of new people. People I never even considered as possible friends. Well, not just friends but really close friends. The kind of people you hang out with in and outside of school. But somehow these four girls made my night. It was totally unexpected. I think back to earlier today when I almost turned their movie offer down. I'm glad I didn't.

I just found.

Fight Club fanfiction hidden on my computer? Really? REALLY? It's dated from 2008.

Inhale. Hold. Exhale. Marla’s slightly glazed over eyes watched the swirl smoke from her drag drift upwards, slowly vanishing in the soft, but cold, breeze. Well, fuck. She thought. That was the most beautiful thing she’d seen all day. Today had been just another Tuesday. Wake up. Smoke. Fall back asleep. Wake up again. Smoke. Drag self to support groups. Hang around Tyler’s. Smoke. Have sex with Tyler. Smoke. Drag self back to support groups. Go home and masturbate to Disney soundtracks. Smoke. Currently, she was enjoying one of the many scheduled smokes.

From August 9th, 2010.

I am currently sitting in my bunk, cooling off peacefully. other than the high pitch squeal of the dehumidifier and the tiny but constant fear of the upper bunk falling on top of me, I feel great. The trio has pretty much ignored me so far. Every once and I while I miss one of them but goo times, which are frequent, with Emily and Gabby wash them away.

Marching basics this morning sucked but were fun at the same time. It's nice to know what I'm doing. Being at camp makes me remember things that I wouldn't at home. When I think of band camp when I'm not AT camp I always remember the obvious things. Practice, ugh. Food, ugh. The things I forget are that after practice I'm tired and sweaty but I also feel accomplished. And the food is the kind of food that I want after being on the field for three hours. Heavy and solid. When I'm starving from working my ass of, I NEED food. Any food.

Last night's adoptions were hilarious. Gabby was betrothed to "CJ". Emily is now married to Conor. I'm in a very untraditional threesome with the lovely Arianna and the adorable Kelsey. My child's name is Maddy. She's a clarinet. I think she's scared of me but that's okay. She'll learn.

I hate sweating. I hate sleeping bags and I hate Jesus Freaks but I love band camp.

I never thought I'd hate you.

I feel betrayed.
I'm so angry.
And sad enough to puke.
This is the kind of feeling that gets people hurt.

At least I didn't kill us.

"Yeah, that's generally a positive thing." Was the response I got from my driving partner. I had my first driving session of driver's training today and it went kind of okay. Yesterday my Dad took me to a local cemetery to try driving for the first time and it was a disaster. He makes me incredibly nervous. Every time I made the tiniest mistake he'd start yelling. So when we got home I felt stupid and cried appropriately. Driving with an instructor is much easier and less creepy than driving past graves. Ya digg?

My driving partner is a guy named Mike. He's a Junior from another high school around here. I drove first and proved that I was a noob. Then he got behind the wheel and drove perfectly. An awkward conversation took place in the front while I texted in the back.

Instructor: "You've obviously done this before. Who takes you driving?"
Mike: "I usually just drive myself around."
Instructor: "....when I go up north I let my ten-year-old son drive on my lap."

Bravo. It was pretty funny. Mike is kind of "gangster" but he seems nice. We both got to sit on a stupid yellow bench while waiting for our parents to pick us up. We made fun of this man walking down the street while using a Bluetooth ear piece. Good times. Goooood times.
